Water Display

Today, my class made a water display for the science area of our classroom.

Lesson plan linked below:
Water Display

  1. 1. Gather the children

2.  Hand each Child an animal

3. Put Food coloring (2 drops of blue, 3 of green) and glitter in container (note this is the container I use to pour with the kids)

  1. 4.
Ask children about what animal they are holding.
(I was able to get the animals cheap at the dollar tree)

5. Talk about the colors and the sounds the animals make. *refer to notes in lesson plan

6. Have the children put their animal in the container (note: have them put it in the big container not the small one like me.)

7. Then fill the cup with water and let each child have a turn to pour the water in. Add a little hand soap about half way though the kid's turns

8. Take a picture

The kids really enjoyed making something that will stay in the classroom all summer.
